Housing groups identify relocation for victims

THE National Housing Authority and the Housing and Urban Development Council (HUDCC) identified a property in Tadiangan, Tuba, Benguet as a possible relocation site for the typhoon victims.

The site is phase 3 of the government housing project in the area.

Because many are interested of availing lots in the site, HUDCC Regional Director Micheline Inay said that from the planned 150 square meters, which could be used, the NHA would be subdividing the property into smaller ones, around 40 square meters each.

The property may be paid through the Pagibig housing loan.

Once the additional funds for the NHA are approved, raw houses will be built Inay said.

The area, which is located along Naguilian Road could accommodate 338 houses.

In the meantime, the NHA is now consolidating the list of affected families in Baguio, La Trinidad and Tublay for evaluation of those who could avail of the government housing project. (Rimaliza Opiña)
