From 9:00 p.m., the time for karaoke bars to operate was moved to 7:00 p.m., which is also the schedule for ball mill machines to stop operating.
“In order to protect the welfare of the public from the nuisance (brought) by the operations of ball mill machines and karaoke bars, there is a need to synchronize their time of operations,” the local government ordered in an ordinance.
Earlier, the Municipal Government passed an ordinance regulating the time for ball mills or the machines used for crushing stones from small-scale mining, because of the noise emanating from their operations.
Operations of these machines are allowed in the locality only from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., under the ordinance seeking to minimize the nuisance caused by the activity.
Meanwhile, karaoke bars, which were originally allowed to operate from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. were ordered to open at 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
