LOCAL recording artist Benjamin Cruz will donate part of his album sales to the Baguio Kindasan Lion's Club.
Kindasan Charter president Sonia Daoas said Benjamin "Benj" Cruz will donate 30 percent of local CD sales to the club. Daoas added that 10 percent from the national sales will also be donated to the club.

Daoas said the donation from Benj will be used in various projects for blind women of the region. She said they have adopted a blind women organization, the Visually Impaired Women's Organization (Viwo), and the money will be used to serve the organization.
Kindasan second vice president Rose White said Viwo is composed of blind women who are working as therapists in various parts of the city.
According to White, the Catiaooan Barrio School in Kapangan, Benguet will also benefit from the proceeds.
Daoas added that the money from Benj's CD sales will go a long way and will help other people. She also called out to Baguio residents to support Benj's album.
"When you buy the CD of Benj, you're not only supporting him but you're also helping other people," Daoas said.
She explained they are sponsoring Benj because he is a local talent and very generous. She added Baguio must support local artists in order to promote the city.
"I believe Benj has the talent and he is a local artist, that's why we are supporting him," Daoas said.
White said they are doing everything possible to promote Benj. She added that they have conducted different information disseminations, which include the media, text brigades, and different media launches of Benj album.
Benj said he is helping the Kindasan Lion's Club because he sees the club needs it. He added that he has known Daoas for a long time and was his mentor.
He said he will help the club in the next albums to come and is open for other clubs. (VPC)
