OFFICIALS of Burnham-Legarda village rejected the conduct of a street party along Legarda Road.
Legarda Rocks, a street party, is a regular feature of the yearly Baguio Panagbenga Flower Festival.
Officials of Burnham-Legarda led by village chief William Hamada said the activity should be discontinued for it allegedly disturbs residents along lower Legarda as well as the guests of hotels, located along the stretch of Legarda Road.

The request was made even as the City Council, prior to the formal opening of the month-long activity, has approved a request for the closure of some roads to accommodate activities for the Flower Festival.
However, the City Council resolution did not include Legardo Road as among those to be closed.
In a letter addressed to the mayor and members of the City Council, Burnham-Legarda officials said the activity disturbs the free flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
Also, the activity is said to benefit only a few business owners “who are predominantly non residents of this barangay.”
In previous years, Burnham-Legarda officials welcomed the activity as their way of showing their hospitality.
But gauging from the complaints they have received, officials of the barangay said they will no longer be supporting the activity.
The official said the rights of the residents to peace and quiet must be promoted and maintained.
