SANGGUNIANG Kabataan president Karminn Yañgot urged Mayor Mauricio Domogan to spearhead revival of Blistt growth corridor concept.
Formulated more than 10 years ago by a group of European urban planners, Yañgot said with the fast-paced development happening in municipalities adjoining Baguio, the Baguio-La Trinidad-Itogon-Sablan-Tuba-Tublay (Blistt) growth concept should be revived anew.

"There is a very urgent need to appropriately coordinate all sorts of development activities in the area so that the socio-economic impact and environmental preservation of remaining natural resources of all the concerned localities will be maximized," Yañgot explained in a proposed resolution.
She said Baguio, as the center of trade and commerce, must lead the way in this developmental event for cooperation among the local governments, to bring forth equitable sharing of responsibility and benefits to the people in the Blistt area.
The youth council president also said that revival of the Blisst growth corridor will strengthen further the "big brother-little brother" concept between and among the people of the Blistt, "thus resulting in collective progress for all stakeholders."
