Police national academy opens applications

THE Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) recently announced they are now opening applications for incoming class 2016.
The PNPA will administer its cadet admission test for the four-year Bachelor of Science in Public Safety cadetship program on October 30 in all 24 testing centers nationwide.
Successful applicants are entitled to monthly training pay and allowances while inside the academy.
Upon graduation, cadets will be appointed the initial rank of Inspectors and are assured of being commissioned officers of the PNP, Bureau of Fire Protection and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.
To qualify for the cadetship program, one must be a natural born Filipino citizen; male or female, single with no legal obligation to support a child or children; at least 4th year high school student and to graduate prior to admission; aged 17-21 years old; at least 5’4" in height for male, and 5’2" for female; physically and mentally fit; of good moral character and with no criminal, administrative, civil and other derogatory record.
Application forms are available at the PNP, Bureau of Fire Protection and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology regional, Police Stations, and Police Regional Training Schools nationwide or through their web portal www.pnpa.edu.ph.
This year, Baguio-born cadet and now Inspector Aleli Cuyan Buaquen topped the PNPA Masaligan Class of 2011 besting 259 others in her class.
The PNPA Masaligan Class of 2011 also included her sister Maila Buaquen, who also braved trainings in the academy.
Out of the 260 graduates this year, 219 joined the PNP, 26 signed up for the BFP, while 15 joined the BJMP. (JM Agreda)
