Wednesday, January 4, 2012
THE Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Baguio-Benguet chapter is set to update its lawyers’ directory for the term 2011-2012.
According to its president, Franklin Calpito, the update of the lawyers’ directory is long overdue considering that the last directory published was during the term 2001-2003.
He said members of the chapter number to more or less 1,600 and about a third are active. There are about a hundred members who are added annually.
The growth in membership is attributed to the different law schools which yield more than a hundred law graduates yearly.
According to the chairman of the Publications Committee and concurrent Information Officer lawyer Ronald L. Perez, all members are hereby enjoined to fill out forms available at the IBP Office, Room 317, 3rd Floor, Justice Hall, Baguio City, and attach passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) colored pictures with blue background, preferably in Court Attire and taken within the last six months, on or before January 31.
He said members to be included in the 2011-2012 lawyers’ directory will pay a fee of P500, which will entitle members for a copy thereof.
For those who would like to post an advertisement, the following rates have been set as follows: 1 whole page at P3,000; half page at P2,000; a quarter page at P1,000; and an eighth page at P500.
Free directories will be provided for those who will avail themselves of advertisements of a quarter or bigger. For more details, please contact Perez at (0917) 558-3258 or lawyer Xylee Apilado at (0916) 243-8864.
