INDEPENDENT film maker Martin Masadao is calling for auditions.

Masadao’s film “Anac Ti Pating” made it to the finals of the First Sineng Pambansa National Film Competition and needs lead and support roles for filming to be completed.

Masadao has set January 21 and 22 as audition dates at the University of the Philippines Baguio, College of Social Sciences Audio Visual room, “We are looking for actors with or without acting experience,” he said.

Lead roles for a Grade 5 boy as well as a father role are open for supporting roles. Roles for a retired doctor, school bully and a Korean boy are also open.

All actors except for the Korean part must be fluent in English and Ilocano.

The film tilt is under the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).

The FDCP finalists shall be awarded seed money to finish their films, which will then compete in the Sineng Pambansa National Film Festival, to be held in Davao City in June 2012. It is organized by the FDCP in partnership with the City Government of Davao. (Ma. Elena Catajan)
