Participating teachers will come from Pampanga Agricultural College, Central Luzon State University, University of Baguio, Benguet State University, and Mt. Province State Polytechnic College.
They will be trained on the rudiments of preparing a well-written and competitive research proposal.
The workshop modules will also include discussion on specific requirements, research outputs, and effective and proper management of research funds.
The workshop intends to strengthen the research proposals of the faculty from said schools, particularly from Central Luzon and Cordillera, to increase their chances of getting funding.
For this year, NRCP allocated P29 million for basic research, opening 35 slots for funding.
World leaders believe that basic research and Research & Development are essential components of a nation’s strategy in building up strong capacity to compete in the global economy.
They also believe that to embed the basic research capacity on national economic strategies could best achieve a winning system of technological innovations. (Joselito Carteciano)
