The ordinance includes all people’s organizations, non-government organizations and other organized groups that are within the territorial jurisdiction of the town.

This will be the guidelines of the organizations that intend to seek new accreditation or renewal of accreditation.

The passage of the ordinance aims to promote the establishment and operation of the people’s organization as partners in national development.

Moreover, the ordinance will empower the municipal council to accredit various non-government organizations. This will also help the council to provide the procedure and guidelines to the accreditation and selection of the association’s representative in the local special bodies of the municipality.

Within 30 days from the reorganization of municipal council standing committees, the council will issue a notice of call for accreditation to organizations and other organized groups to apply for accreditation.

The organization will pass through series of evaluations as identified by the ordinance to measure the capabilities of the organization to cater to its needs. These associations will have to complete the requirements before the approval of their accreditation.

The certificate of accreditation will only last for three years so the organizations will have to renew their certificate once it already expired to avoid penalties.

Meanwhile, Ramos also proposed for the information dissemination of the planned establishment of the technology and livelihood development center. This project would be headed by the Department of Science and Technology on its technology resource center.

The proposed technology and livelihood development center will cater to the economic needs of the municipality. It will also help the residents though the provision of livelihoods for them.
