Cordi cops celebrate 21st birthday

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Cordillera police celebrated the 21st anniversary of the Philippine National Police in simple rites.
The celebration started solemnly with wreath laying rites for fallen member of the highland force led by widows of deceased Police Officers offered wreaths at the heroes’ monument inside the Camp.

Police Regional Director Magan-non lauded the efforts of Cordillera chief Benjamin Magalong for efforts to improve police service.
Magan-non cited the launching of the recent e-blotter as well as the active participation of the Magalong in communal concerns like the Kalinga tribal conflict of Lobo and Mangali.
Magan-non assured a partnership with the cordillera police and the National Police Commission-CAR. “We would be always a partner of Police Regional Office Cordillera in all its peace and order agenda.”
Magan-non led the giving of educational financial assistance to dependents of police officers who died in line of duty.
The foundation anniversary is in commemoration of the passage of RA 6975 on January 30, 1991; that provided for the activation of the Philippine National Police.
