Domogan maintains party affiliation

MAYOR Mauricio Domogan has dismissed speculations that he would change political affiliations.
“I will remain with Lakas-CMD because I still adhere to their ideals, programs and platforms,” he stressed.
Domogan was reacting to questions asked by media on Wednesday, on the possibility of him transferring alliances to the administration’s Liberal Party (LP).
Domogan said: “Even without me changing political parties, I am still supportive of the thrust of the administration for good governance.”
President Benigno Aquino III administered the oath of new LP members of the Cordilleras in La Trinidad, Benguet last Monday.
Over 300 new members were sworn in at the Benguet State University grounds led by Transportation and Communications Secretary and LP President Manuel Roxas and Department of the Interior and Local Government Jessie Robredo.
“Although there is really an advantage if you are a party member to the ruling party,” Domogan said.
“But I don’t want to be branded as a ‘political butterfly’, as long as I believe in the thrust and direction of the party I am in, I will stay,” he added. (Paul Rillorta)
