LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- Valley cops are hoping to be hailed the best anew.
Police Superintendent Marlo Meneses from the National Internal Affair Office in Camp Crame inspected the police substation Monday afternoon with the entire police force in attendance, as well as uniforms of valley cops and their cleanliness in the municipal gym.
The check is part of the Annual General Inspection/Operational Readiness Security Inspection Test and Evaluation (AGI/Orsite).
The La Trinidad municipal police station is batting to get the best police station tag this year during the annual service awards.
The aim of the annual inspection is to assess the readiness and capability of our Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel from the region, provincial offices down to the municipal level when crisis situation comes at their doorstep.
The AGI is done every year to select among the regions that will be the best in terms of operations and administration; results are the bases for choosing the best PNP units in the country.
Meneses likewise called on Valley cops for an on the spot check at the gym asking one to recite the PNP vision and mission.
Meneses stressed all cops should know how to answer questions like that because the Valley is a tourist area where visitors abound, combining the efforts of police to keep the peace as well as be front liners in tourism development. (Ma. Elena Catajan)
