JHMC workers donate goods for flood victims

EMPLOYEES of the government-owned and controlled John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) pooled donations for victims of floods that ravaged Metro Manila and its neighboring provinces.
Employees donated sacks of rice, used clothing, beddings, and assorted vegetables.
These donations were delivered to the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) office at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
JHMC's relief effort is part of BCDA's relief drive for the flood victims in the nation's capital.
BCDA employees have also donated to the endeavor. The donations were given to BCDA relocates in Rodriguez, Rizal who were affected by the flash floods.
Manila and its neighboring provinces were devastated by floods after continuous downpour of monsoon rains earlier this month. Thousands fled their homes and moved to evacuation centers.
Dr. Jamie Eloise Manzano-Agbayani, president and CEO of JHMC, was quoted as saying, "We commend the noble efforts of the other members of the BCDA group. The humble help that we have extended to the flood victims is our way of giving back to our fellowmen especially in their time of need." (PR)
