BENGUET Representative Ronald Cosalan heads the Liberal Party (LP) of the administration in the province.
He said he filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) on October 1 with his lineup. He is eyeing for a reelection of his current position.
Cosalan said almost all the municipal mayors of the province are members of the LP. Among them are incumbent mayors of La Trinidad, Mankayan, Sablan, Bokod, Kabayan, Bakun, and Tublay.
He added that incumbent Board Member Nelson Dangwa is also in his slate. He said his group is still deciding on who will be fielded as governor and vice governor. They plan to have Dangwa as their vice governor.
Once reelected, Cosalan said he will follow the programs of President Benigno Aquino III wherein he will prioritize road projects. He will also push through with the conversion of some provincial roads to national roads.
Furthermore, Cosalan will also continue paving roads because he said the province has 570 kilometers of still unpaved roads. He expressed only 450 kilometers of roads are fully paved.
He will also focus on the improvement of the vegetable industry for its importation. Creation of system to limit smuggled vegetables is part of Cosalan’s plans too.
