PUBLIC elementary and secondary school students and mentors in the city held the First Technolympics 2012 last December 15 at Quezon Elementary School.

The Division Memorandum 165, which was signed by lawyer Augustin Laban III, aims to harness the different technical skills among the students in the city to be productive citizens in their communities.

Categories for contested activities in the event include Sales Inventory, Fruit Shake Making, Flower Arrangement, Fabric Painting, Applique, Tie Dye, Simple Circuit Wiring, Asexual Propagation, Assembling Metal Tool Box, and Medicine Cabinet Making.

The best products, who took the first two spots in every category, will have the chance to participate in the regional level in February 2013.

City Councilor Joel Alangsab graced the event as the Inspirational Speaker. (Simeon S. Yangyang)
