LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Outgoing Provincial Director Benjamin Macli-ing Lusad is set to turn over his post for the province to incoming Director Rodolfo Azurin Jr. at Camp Dangwa today, Thursday.
Governor Nestor Fongwan is set to witness the turn over at the Masigasig Grandstand with Regional Director Benjamin Magalong.
Lusad, a member of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class 1985, strengthened the province Tourist police program as well as training for the highland force.
Tourist policemen assigned in various parts of the province are usually seen riding on horses while performing their duties and responsibilities as part of government’s national Top Cop program.
Lusad was named the best senior police commissioned officer for administration for 2010 and led the Benguet police force to become the Best Police Provincial Office in the entire Cordilleras in the same year.
Lusad also actively pursued outreach activities for children within the province through the “Help A School Program” to assist school children in far flung barangays for a broader opportunity for added learning.
Azurin is a member of PMA Class 89, and was previously assigned in Camp Crame.
Meanwhile, Lusad will continue his service to the region in his new assignment as Abra police chief.
