FORT DEL PILAR -- Vice President Jejomar Binay, who is also the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council chairman, pledged Saturday to continue housing programs for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Binay during the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Alumni Homecoming said the housing program of Filipino soldiers is part only of the efforts of government to improve their lives for the invaluable contribution for the country.
“Housing does not only mean a better life for your families but the freedom to do your job of soldiery better,” he told the PMA alumni.
He said it is pitiful to see that many soldiers still don’t have their own houses.
He assured the PMA alumni that the government will continue to improve not only the capabilities of modern and modernized armed forces, “but improve the morale or our soldiers by providing them not only recognition, but also the benefits and assistance that are long overdue.” (JM Agreda)
