Mt. Province celebrates Lang-ay

BONTOC, Mt. Province – The residents here started celebrating their known Lang–ay Festival with new highlights to be held these coming days.
The celebration started last February 20.
Mt. Province Provincial Information Officer Angel Baybay said a workshop on zero–waste segregation will be staged on March 25.
He said proper way of segregation will be taught to the participants in order to solve the waste problem in town.
Baybay added that the highlights of the events are: search for Miss Mountain Province (April 5); dog fun show (April 5); street dancing and cultural presentation day (April 6); indigenous games (April 6); moto – c’ause (April 1); and wushu tournament for a cause (April 6). Most of the events will be held in Bontoc as the center of the province. (PR)
