Cordillera police regional director Benjamin Magalong disclosed the funds were allotted for immediate repair and upgrading of the several police stations adding “the release of the funds is considered a timely Christmas present for the policemen” assigned in the stations scheduled to be repaired.

The budget will be used for the repair and maintenance of the 62 police offices and stations with every station in the region allocated P 200,000 subject to the existing, budgeting, accounting and auditing rules and regulations of the government.

“This institutional capability building of the PNP will help improve the administrative and operational coherence and efficiency of our police stations,” Magalong added.

"An attractive and secure police station will boost the morale of the personnel that would improve their services to the community," he further stressed.

Magalong said the Capability Enhancement Plan was presented by the Chief PNP to achieve a standard and modernized police station of the organization, an offshoot of the police’s modernization program.

According to Magalong allocations for different police stations will immediately be released so appropriate repairs will be implemented further improving existing structures and facilities of police stations.
