PRESIDENT Benigno Aquino III took time to rest at the Mansion House enjoying the Baguio City's cold weather December 27 to 29.
The President arrived at the Mansion House around 9 p.m. Friday experiencing the city's cold temperature of 12.5 degrees Celsius Saturday morning.
Aquino spent his holiday break privately inside the presidential mansion while he jogged away from the crowd at the Philippine Military Academy early Saturday morning.
He spent the rest of his days off inside the second official residence of the President in the country enduring the 13 to 18 degrees Celsius temperature prevailing in the city during the weekend.
However, compared to other Presidents who spend time in Baguio, the president did not schedule any meetings with local officials and instead maximized the time to rest as per advice of Health secretary Enrique Ona.
He arrived in the mansion with Cabinet Secretary Jose Rene Almendras and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation chief Cristino Naguiat. Philippine National Police Director General Alan Purisima also arrived Sunday before the president headed to his hometown Tarlac.
But before leaving for Tarlac, the president spent some 15 minutes with local tourists who grabbed their opportunity to take photos and shook hands with the president.
The President was guest of honor in the celebration of Rizal Day at Plazuela de Tarlac.
