Cordillera police arrest 13 most wanted men

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- Police have been on the prowl for criminals on the loose, successfully arresting 13 men wanted by the law.

Cordillera police chief Isagani Nerez said unrelenting efforts of the police to serve the warrants resulted to the arrest of the criminals.

"We must maintain our excellent performance and make headway on anti-crime operation to better serve and protect our people and make our region a better place to live and do business," Nerez said.

In Baguio, Emmanuel John Damayan fell to the hands of the law. The fourth most wanted man in the city was wanted for murder.

Damayan was arrested by police officers for Station 7 in San Carlos Heights, January 27.

In Alfonso Lista, Ifugao, Mario Bona Padua, also fourth in the most wanted list of the province was arrested by the members of the Tracker team of Alfonso Lista municipal police station.

Padua was wanted for violations of the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act and was arrested in Barangay San Placido, Roxas, Isabela, January 28.

Police were able to arrest 11 other wanted persons for violations of various crimes.

Contero Luis Daoagey was arrested at Sitio Saclalan, Amgaleyguey, Buguias, Benguet for acts of lasciviousness while Jackson Pawil Rubio also fell to the hands of the law for rape.

Two construction workers were separately arrested for violations of the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act. Ramil Rillera Duclayan was caught in Buhaw, Puguis, La Trinidad while Ferick Bawa-an Agustine was arrested at Sitio Toyong, Pico.

Four suspects were arrested and later posted their bail bonds: Donato Sinumlag was arrested at Bulanao, Tabuk City for illegal possession of firearms while Guitelen Tabiac Baguiwen was caught for acts of lasciviousness in Lubas, La Trinidad; Reynard La Torre, was arrested at Upper Rock Quarry, Baguio City and Juliet Villanueva Avena who was arrested along Add road Irisan, Baguio City, both for violations of the Anti-Bouncing Check law.

Other arrested personalities were Aldrin Balansi Bensilan, collared at Purok 2, Kias, Baguio City for high grading. Zosimo and Winda Virrey were both arrested at Europa Condominium located along Legarda Road, Baguio City for the crime of Estafa.
