PMA gathers alumni anew-A A +A

FORT DEL PILAR -- Cavaliers are expected to fill the hallowed grounds of the Borromeo Field anew.
Philippine Military Academy is set to hold its Alumni Homecoming from February 13 to 16 highlighted by the Alumni Parade, gathering its finest for a week of reunion with their Alma Matter.
Guest of honor, Secretary Panfilo Lacson, presidential assistant for Rehabilitation and Recovery, will be this year’s speaker and will be given arrival honors by outgoing PMA superintendent Vice Admiral Edgar Abogado.
PMA information Chief Major Lynette Agnes Flores said there are over 2,000 guests expected to converge for the annual event.
Flores said security measure will be tight to ensure the protection of the guests as well as onlookers.
The PMA annually calls on alumni to come back to the hallowed grounds of the Borromeo Field for the gathering of the country’s leaders in the military, back to the institution where they were molded.
Flores said as politicians who are either alumni or adopted members are expected to attend but a no politicking policy, in respect to the institution.
This year’s Diamond Jubilarian is PMA Class ’54 while the Golden Jubilarians is Class ’64 and the Silver Jubilarian is Class ’89.
Last year, the PMA homecoming brought over 1,900 alumni with their families are in homage to the institution their friends and “mistahs,” the unwavering band of brotherhood formed behind the walls of the academy.
