La Trinidad, Benguet – Local councilors commended Valley cops for an outstanding performance.
Through a resolution by Councilor Roderick Awingan, the Valley Council commended the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station (LTMPS) through Byron Allatog, chief of Police, for winning a certificate of merit for meeting the standards set forth by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica).
The award for excellence in scientific investigation was given early this month at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
“The award accorded to the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station (LIMPS) had given tremendous pride, strengthened trust and confidence, and inspired our constituents that through passionate service, full commitment to its assigned task and passionate leadership an organization can achieve remarkable awards worthy of emulation,” Awingan said.
One of Jica’s programs in the Philippines is the achievement of the Philippine National Police (PNP) anti-crime capability which is mainly focused on the promotion and enhancement of scientific investigations through its efficient utilization of the Automated Fingerprinting Information System.
The La Trinidad Police Station (LTMPS) was the lone awardee in Municipal Police Station category.
The commendation was approved during this week’s regular council session.
