THE Commission on Election (Comelec) in Cordillera is calling again all qualified applicants for the Barangay and Youth Council elections to register in their respective Comelec offices.
Comelec–Cordillera Director Julius Torres said April 29 is set as the last day registration for qualified voters.
"It is unusual for this week we have less applicants flocking in different registration sites compared the previous last week of registrations. But we will still anticipate a big number of applicants who will register on the last day," Torres said.
Torres added one reason why most of the registration areas have lesser applicants is due to the off-site registrations of Comelec field offices in barangays and different institutions.
The Comelec official said the application will run from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and will resume from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
But in case there are many applicants in the line, they will account all those who are present from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will be entertained and accommodated.
Comelec will not entertain any late registrants after April 29.
