BAGUIO City residents and visitors are advised to bring their umbrellas or raincoats after the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported the city will experience more isolated rain showers this week and the coming days based on their weekly forecast.
Chief Meteorological Office Peverino Tomas Hulipas of Pagasa-Baguio said even if it is still summer season, the city will still experience some rainfall.
"Based on our weather forecast we will experience isolated rainfall and thunder storms in the city and some parts of Luzon," Hulipas said.
Hulipas said the rain showers are expected to occur late in the afternoon.
On Tuesday, Pagasa has recorded 6.2 millimeter of rain in the city while the temperature was recorded at 20.2 degrees Celsius.
"We are still in the summer season but because it is raining, it affects our weather condition," Hulipas said.
The Office of Civil Defense in Cordillera earlier have also reminded the public to take safety measures during rainy days and advised residents in landslide prone areas to evacuate as early as possibly during strong rains.
This summer season, Baguio City is currently experiencing the temperature, which is ranging from 17 degree Celsius to 25 degree Celsius as the maximum.
