Kalinga gets P73M for 21 projects under ADM

A TOTAL of 21 projects in the province of Kalinga will receive total allocation of P73 million under the Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Max Mayer Adong, acting DILG provincial director, said the funds were downloaded from the Department of Budget and Management to the respective bank accounts of the recipient municipalities.

The local government unit of Rizal was allocated P14.7 million for six road concreting projects. Three are nearing completion, namely the Zamora access road, De Sesto access road, and the Manuel Cornesto access road.

Balbalan received P12.5 million for the construction of the Kilayon and Babayngan foot bridges, and construction of Pili and Balantoy Level II water systems.

Tinglayan got P9.1 million for the construction of Arong, Poblacion, and Amani potable water systems and improvement of Belong-Manubal access road.

Tanudan was allotted P9.1 million for the upgrading of Tatakkan-Guimoyo access road.

Pasil’s share was P8.9 million for the concreting of Batong Buhay national road junction to Puapo-Dangtalan access road and upgrading of evacuation center.

Lubuagan was allotted P8.8 million for the construction of Poblacion Level II and III potable water system, and Antonio Canao and Dangoy Level II potable water systems.

Adong said Pinukpuk has yet to receive its share amounting to P10.3 million pending the qualification of the LGU to the Seal of Good Housekeeping which is a requirement for availment of the assistance.

But this minimum requirement is being worked out for settlement until September this year when the LGU will come out with its polished performance financial management. (PIA)
