THE Baguio City Public Market has collected a total amount of P81,148,804.92 in 2017, Market Superintendent Fernando Ragma, Jr. reported during the Alay Sa Kalinisan (ASK) meeting last week.

The collected amount for January 2018 is P7,618,128.00, with 2078 market clearances issued for 2018, and 961 lease contracts processed, Ragma, Jr. added.

Aside from collection of fees, inspection/investigation of stall holders in the public market, slaughterhouse compound, Mines View Multi-purpose building and Harrison night market is being done, it was known.

Information dissemination on food handling, waste segregation, waste disposal and monitoring of vendors’ compliance to Baguio smoke-free ordinance, plastic ordinance and individual stall cleanliness, is also being done.

In Burnham Park, a total of P26,342,306.68 was collected in 2017 as parking fees. According to Burnham Park Officer Joseph Hermogeno, there is a marked increase of 4.7M from 2016’s parking income of P21,566,549.41.

In summary, 2013 collection amounts to 13,261,664.29; 2014, P13,876,159.67; and 2015, P17,392,276.71, yearly increases of up to P3.5M annually.
