Shabu queen sentenced to life

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A lady drug pusher whose modus was to pose as a vegetable trader was sentenced for life last week.
In a twelve-page decision, Judge Marybelle Demot-Mariñas, presiding judge of the First Judicial Region’s Regional Trial Court Branch 8, sentenced Amy Dasigan to life imprisonment after having been found guilty of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 with sale and possession of dangerous drugs.
A P500,000 fine was also slapped on Dagsian.
Dagsian was covering up as a vegetable vendor when caught selling shabu at Bayabas by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)–CAR.
Dasigan, then 42, married, high school undergraduate, native of Daet, Camarines Norte and residing here was caught red handed with six sachets or 0.52 grams of shabu.
Dasigan had been supplying shabu to her patrons at the vegetable trading post in Km 5.(Maria Elena Catajan)
