A CHRISTIAN evangelical concert gathered the youth from different religions in the City of Pines in one evening that truly touched their hearts.

The Hasik Binhi concert, an event just in time for the start of the yuletide season, was organized and hosted by for the first time by Day by Day Christian Ministries at Governor Pack Road whose mission is to spread the word of the Almighty and let everyone know about His undying love for everyone.

First time to join an evangelical concert is University of Baguio High School 3rd year student Ronald Ramos, Jr. who made his own rendition of the popular inspirational song “Who Am I?” sang by Casting Crowns. Although he felt nervous at first, he finished his song with a smile thinking that in his own way he was able to relay a very important message that moved the emotions of the young generation.

“I hope my song inspired all the students who attended the concert” Ronald said.

Ronald’s younger brother eight-year-old Aiken Eugenriq also had a memorable performance after singing the song “When You Believe” popularized by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. Although known as an active performer in school activities at the University of Baguio Laboratory Elementary School, singing a song for Him was a new experience on his part.

“I felt God was watching me when I was singing,” Aiken said with a smile thanking God for giving him many talents including dancing and drawing.

Other highlights of the event that was held lately include the inspirational message of Carol Reyes that inspired not only the youth but the parents as well who watched the presentation.

She started the message by asking the youth the question, Can you live without love? And all of the spectators answered no. In the end she underscored that it is only God that can give unconditional love.

It was the first time for Day by Day Baguio lead by Pastor Caloy dela Cruz and Pastor Dennis Ke to hold the “Hasik Binhi” concert and now they are planning to make it a yearly activity of the church as one way of spreading the word of God.

The success of the event was made possible with the concerted efforts of the formed committees headed by Mila Velasco, Helen Mendoza, Gina dela Cruz, and worship team headed by Esther Mostrales.

The church taking an active role in helping the youth find direction in life is very essential especially today that they are facing a lot of challenges and pressures in life. If there are no support group that will guide them tendency is they will submit to these negative influences surrounding them.

Let them also take an active role in the community and spend time doing their passion in arts or sports where they will feel their importance. But parents love and guidance should always come first.
