All In Good Time

ISN’T it amazing how people’s perception varies from one another? Some people, despite their inadequacies and imperfections would still turn out to be someone who is perfect. In this world that we live today I have noticed how, for just one situation that turned out to be sour, may still turn out to be sweet for others. We may have asked the Lord Almighty why He gave us lemons. But I tell you, while it was lemons that were delivered in our doorstep; it is what we will do with it that matters.

Many might have perceived that all they got in life were lemons, but then the Lord watches us to see what we can do with the lemons that come our way. I would perceive this as a trial or challenge, even thinking that God does not love me anymore. Maybe I might have done something bad that I am being punished for. But then again, God works in mysterious ways.

I guess we all would have to change our perception of things and assume some other thought other than thinking that God gave us lemons. So what gives? Make God smile by making… lemonade! Other than frowning at what was, think of what can be. Having a different perspective on things spells a lot and that’s what matters even more.

But what gives with Pnoy? I would have understood easily his reasons for the things he does, but for some I’m just dumbfounded. I have no answers to offer. I would just assume that he is the King and he can just do so on his own whims. Just like that. There is no question as to why the former governor was offered such a prestigious position despite the circumstances she is in, but what every Juan is thinking of right now is the actions that followed her appointment. Is there a “double standard” in what Pnoy did?

What is so apparent at this time is that Pnoy sure knows what to do with the lemons that are given him. Not only did he make it into lemonade, he even added sugar to it to remove any sour taste that the lemon has.

Moreover, he had to accompany it with ice (Mar) to make it palatable for everyone. Is this popular concoction the right formula to make it a “hit” with every Juan? Maybe. But will it sell?

Amazing I say because it encompasses any thought I might have perceived already of Pnoy. Apparently, every Juan saw a lemon, but what Pnoy saw was an apple. Grace definitely was an apple in Pnoy’s eye. Imagine shelling out from his own pocket some amount of money, no matter how big or small, to post bail. Can we assume that the amount given is already the final payment for some liability? Does it mean now that Grace is absolved from all her mistakes?

I guess what seems to be a lemon to every Juan is Pnoy’s apple, so who cares. Let the other rot in the hospital, as far as Pnoy sees it, she is just calamansi. But still calamansi is more nutritious than a lemon. But who needs calamansi or lemons? What Pnoy wanted all this time was neither lemonade nor calamansi juice but… apple shake! So there you go. This surely is one God–given talent I didn’t ever see coming. Isn’t it Amazing!
