Succeed in 2013!
-A A +AMy Dearest...

EACH new year, many of us start off by making resolutions. Those who mentally take note of them have less chances of achieving them than those who take time to write them down. However, by March, or even earlier, many of us, including those who have written them down with conviction and determination, have already given up, or have forgotten all about them.
This year, let me write it down, and try again.
Join me in my New Year’s Resolution: “I will succeed in 2013!”
Success? I have talked about it and written about it. And each time, I seem to get a new perspective about it.
This time, “I will succeed in 2013” based on what Ralph Waldo Emerson said:
“HOW DO YOU MEASURE SUCCESS?
TO LAUGH often and much;
TO WIN the respect of intelligent people and the appreciation of children;
TO EARN the appreciation of critics and
ENDURE the betrayal of false friends;
TO APPRECIATE beauty,
TO FIND the best in others;
TO LEAVE the world a bit better, whether by
a healthy child,
a redeemed social condition,
or a job well done;
TO KNOW even one other life has breathed because you lived –
THIS IS TO HAVE SUCCEEDED!”
*****
MY DEAREST CHILDREN AND READERS,
Will you join me in my New Year’s Resolution?
If yes, let’s start by memorizing or keeping Ralph’s message to heart!
Success has nothing to do with the 4 P’s: Possessions, Pleasure, Power and Prestige.
Success has nothing to do with size, number or other visible non-essentials in life. Success is measured in the light of eternity!
Success has to do with the action verbs highlighted above: TO LAUGH, TO WIN, TO EARN, TO ENDURE, TO APPRECIATE, TO FIND, TO LEAVE, AND TO KNOW!
Together, let us succeed in 2013!
Joshua 1:8 “Keep the book of the law always on your lips, meditate on it day and night so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
