WE ARE sharing with you the final installment of our reader’s reactions on our previous articles/contributions in this paper.

Opportunities in real estate

(by Crischelle A. Fernando)

THE article served as an announcement to all interested individuals who wished to join the real estate world. The categories are well defined where one can choose the level which can suit his interest. We have the real estate salesperson, real estate broker, real estate appraiser, real estate consultant and a real estate assessor to be employed in a local government unit.

It can be gleaned from the article the implication of each category, and in choosing the right one, you have to exercise prudence and let your experience teach you the best where you can practice more and be adept in that field. Aside from these, one can choose to be in the academe, to be able to impart knowledge to future real estate professionals.

In a partnership or corporation where one can practice the profession, it is required that one should be a duly registered professional by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). Before the passage of R. A. 9646 known as the RESA (Real Estate Service Act), anyone can engage himself as a real estate practitioner. At least with the passage of the law, I think some of the problems arising from the real estate business will be minimized because of the stringent requirements.

A very interesting topic, I find myself motivated with this since there are a lot of categories in real estate service where you can exercise such profession and aside from being employed or self-employed, it is an avenue for making money. I just thought that being in real estate has a limited career, where one can only sell real estate properties. Having read this article broadened my mind on real estate business and finding myself more interest in the real estate profession.

I have read an article from Chris Parry where he wrote about real estate investment. According to him, “More than likely, you are in the right place at the right time to invest in some piece of real estate somewhere, and all you need to do is get pointed in the right direction in order to find it. People call it, ‘having a nose for business,’ but in reality it is just doing bit of simple legwork, talking to the right people, and taking a few risks. Virtually any way of making money in the modern world works just about the same way, and yet real estate investment has the aura of being an incredibly reliable way of making money.”

“Real estate has more stability in the returns it generates on investments that make it different sort of animal in the investing game. With real estate, you have the benefit of capitalizing on an endlessly restless country that is always shape-shifting and reconfiguring itself in new places and reinventing its existence in new ways. The main thing to remember: if you don’t capitalize on it, someone else always will.”

“You may find that real estate investment suit your lifestyle and can afford you thing you didn’t think were possible to attain – you may realize that a secret club of anointed individuals may rule the land as you once thought.”

Sharing the article makes my interest in real estate really vast as it opens new chance for a real estate investment.

Quest for excellence

(by Delia “Lala” C. Abu Al-higaa)

A passion for life in a Quest for Excellence, wherein man starts visioning or seeking for his purpose in his life, education as a starting point, he also starts shaping himself for that vision or purpose where he likes to be in this world. As he fulfills to obtain his main goal in life and obtain or satisfies his need in this world and vice versa, he also tries to put himself in the quest for excellence.

Education as defined in the Grolier’s international dictionary states that, “the act or process of imparting knowledge or skill, systematic instruction, teaching, obtaining of knowledge or skill through process schooling. The field of study that is concerned with teaching and learning; the theory of teaching: pedagogy and pedagogy is the art of profession of teaching.”

Real estate profession was not actually considered formal profession – in such a way that most real estate brokers were not so efficient, in presenting their products, dealing with clients, and in taking the profession by itself. In the real essence, quest for excellence in the real estate business is so important. Since it involves a wide range of knowledge such as engineering and related technical fields, management, taxation, civil rights and laws, personal relations; it also needs the physical, psychological, social and spiritual molding. And the process of mental, physical, psychological, social and spiritual enrichment, nourishment and molding is part of the total package in our quest for excellence.
