In His time

TIME is up, is what we hear. But what does it mean. He tells us that all we have is borrowed time. As they so say “a lease in life". Would it then mean that with this "new" lease in life, we may do what we choose to do? We can surely "choose" what we can do, but still, it is just what it is...on borrowed time. Three of my good friends this very time, grieve for a loss of someone close to them. Someone from whom life was brought forth; as it was in GOD's plan. In short, they lost dad or mom who brought them into this world. The people dearest to them. Well time does come up for all of us. No exemptions. We lose the ones we love. Is it all bad? Not at all. This is not a time to say that my friends are "broken". It is just this time when we all realize that we will eventually lose those we love. My close friends now grieve from love lost; hearts broken but not the valentine kind. We just celebrated all together this heart’s month, and surely it was happy. But then there comes this time when we all surrender. Not to give up, but to have a clearer understanding that with Him, all is well. Only recently did I read the article of ate Angie del Rosario titled The Dash, and totally agreed with her that what we find in a tombstone are the dates of birth and the time of passing. While both are significant for all living to remember, the more important thing is all that is in between, and that is the DASH. The Dash is everything the person was in this life. I have nothing but fond memories of those who have left us, the dads of two and a mom of my dearest friends. But other than the Dash, the word "passing", not only means they have "moved on" but then, they also have reached the next level. A level we all will go through. An assessment before Him, to be judged and to be called". As students in school we all are happy after passing an exam. It is also just the same for this is a test of Life. How well was it spent knowing that it is all just "borrowed". While we weep for the loss of loved ones we must also celebrate for they have already passed this borrowed life. The Dash is what we may all have witnessed, but it is in the Passing that we all celebrate.
