The agility test for new recruits will be on April 8 to 15 with a series of examinations thereafter.

Aside from agility test, they will also undergo neuro-psychiatric test, drug test, medical-dental examinations, and panel interview.

Procor is adapting an open quota for this year to get as many recruits as possible.

The number of applicants will give the Philippine National Police Recruitment and Selection Board ample choices for the best and the brightest for the police service.

The new police officers must undergo the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PBRC), six-month Field Training Program, and 45-day Special Counter-Intelligence Operations Unit Training in order to attain permanency.

The recruits are set to undergo the PBRC for six months and then Field Training Program for another six before they qualify as permanent Police Officer 1 and be fielded to different posts in the region to augment the present police force.

Last year Procor Regional Director Orlando Pestaño administered the oath-taking of 220 new PNP applicants as part of the Procor Regular and Attrition Recruitment Program for 2009 last July 1 at the parade grounds here. (Maria Elena Catajan)
