KOREAN Lee Byung Sun and Ahn Joon return for the 11th Camp John Hay Chairman's Cup in a bid to retain the titles they won last year.

Some 200 parbusters, including Sun and Jhoon will be slugging it out for top honors in the annual tournament teeing off Saturday at the John Hay Golf Club.

The 36-hole, two-day event set on Jan. 15 and 16 offers top prizes in Class A (0-9 handicap), Class B (10-15), Class C (16-19), Class D (20 and above) divisions.

Also on tap are competitions in the ladies and guest categories of the event presented by Warbird Security and Investigation Agency and Golforce Inc. and sponsored by American Eye Center, The Manor at Camp John Hay and Le Chef.

The Stableford scoring system with full January handicap for members (maximum of 27) and Molave scoring system for guests will be used.

Like in the past stagings, the title chase in various classes is expected to be keen among Mars Garcia, Jeong Sek Jun, Eric Acuña, Ben Ayoong, Dina Eden and Thirdy Escaño tipped to lead the hunt in their respective divisions.

Fabulous prizes are at stake for the hole in one feat and raffle prices during the awards rites in the tournament held in honor of CJH chair Bob Sobrepeña.

The chilling weather of the summer capital is expected to greet golfers from all over the country in the Jack Nicklaus designed golf course inside the former US Military Camp.(Roderick Osis)
