La Union slalom invitational challenge opens

RACE Motorsports Club would like to invite all car enthusiasts to join the three-leg slalom invitational kicking off on Saturday, April 9, at the Francisco Ortega Hi-way, San Fernando, La Union.

Newbies, car clubs, race drivers, ladies and slalom enthusiasts are all encouraged to join and compete in Saturday's race. There will be lots of adrenalin pumping, slalom racing actions. Plus, the event can be a car club meet or a monthly eyeball time for the different car clubs especially for clubs from the north.

Registration will start at 7am and will continue for the whole day. Practice runs until 11am before the start of the official competition at 11:30 a.m.

Expected to participate are the different clubs or teams headed by Baguio Auto Forum (BAF), Team Special Stage, BARFTECH, Corolla Auto Club Baguio, VW Club Baguio, Team La Union, and privateers from Dagupan, Pangasinan, Tarlac and Metro Manila.

Come and learn to make a perfect 180- and 360-degree turn. All drivers will be given a free t-shirt and cap upon registration. Come join and be a slalom addict.

The next two legs for the Slalom Invitational will be on September 17 and November 26 also in San Fernando La Union. Exact venue will be announced later.
