Vinluan: Finding the best exercise groove

IN ONE of his many famous maxims, Benjamin Franklin advises readers to act with circumspection in even the smallest matters.
For example: “For want of a nail, the shoe was lost. For want of a shoe, the horse was lost. And for want of a horse, the rider was lost. Overtaken and slain by the enemy - all for want of care about a horse-shoe nail.”
Have something to report? Tell us in text, photos or videos.
If you are an aspiring athlete, you should act with circumspection in even the smallest details of your sport - with regard to practice, exercise and self-stimulation. Anything less than your best is not good enough if you want substantial development, expertise, and effectiveness in the field.
Nit picking too much about training instead of emphasizing the bottom line is unfavorable. You need to get down and dirty; hot and sweaty; snorting; moaning; and groaning, while performing exercises and training with much intensity as possible.
Critics have a point when they say an athlete develops himself to the max by doing “killer workouts” or practice intensely in their field. This is true as long as the athlete follows the commandments of proper diet, rest, and exercise, not to over-train and on top of all these to avoid injuries.
Many people see exercise at first glance to be simple, but are in fact difficult to perform correctly and require special attention to details.
Take bodybuilding for example.
People into sports want either 20 pounds muscle gain or fat loss in a short period of time.
Bodybuilding is not just carrying weights. One must be aware of the objectives of the sport and be vigilant of his goals for personal development. As one of the most preferential sports for health and fitness today, bodybuilding takes more than muscles to develop, it helps shape the individual’s personality.
Sports is a concerted vehicle for personal development, it helps keep the balance of the individual physiologically, psychologically and spiritually. Although some may be overestimating how strictly they practice or exercise, they also tend to underestimate the amount of cheating they do during exercise; it is because it is easier to cheat to get the exercise done.
It is then the ego, which takes over. They show off, making the exercise non-effective.
For those who never come close to exercise and sports rather than the television or computer screens can nevertheless benefit from the many wonders of exercise. Inactiveness creates the effect of sedentary life on inactive people for a long period of time.
If man cannot live by bread alone; neither can he thrive without regular physical activity.
