To give the public better access to the venue of the sports events, roads leading to the sports complex have been paved while damaged bleachers are now restored.
The Provincial Government also provided adequate street lights leading to the sports center as part of the safety measures to the more than 1,000 athletes and officials coming from the provinces of Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mt. Province and Baguio City.
Schools have prepared their classrooms to be used as billeting areas for athletes and officials, including water systems.
On peace and security, Police Provincial Director Ernesto Gaab assured round-the-clock patrol and said security personnel shall be stationed at billeting areas.
The Caraa meet shall be followed immediately by the 17th Kalinga Founding Anniversary and Ullalim Festival on February 14-16. (Larry Lopez)
