The BPO Sports Fest, themed “Building Stronger Relationships through Sports,” is slated March 3.
Human Resource managers Donna-Liza Boncan of IHG, Czar Arkhe Caguioa of Convergys, Ma. Jocelyn Balaoro of Aegis, Kris Tinaza of Sitel, and M.S. Lea Licudine of NTU formalized their partnership last February 6, 2012 at the IHG Compound in Camp John Hay. Baguio City Economic Zone (BCEZ) site administrator Dante Quindoza and BCEZ supervising labor affairs officer Theodore Polahon were present to witness the event.
“We welcome this development in our industry and it shows that these BPOs have cooperation among them and avoid unproductive competition,” said Quindoza.
The BCEZ head also lauded the contributions of these five companies saying the employment and above minimum wage salaries they provide positively impact the city’s economic conditions.
“They employ about 5,000 people and also give career opportunities to new graduates from Baguio universities,” he added.
The proceeds of the Panagbenga Fun Run will be used to fund a corporate social responsibility project for the benefit of Camp 7 Elementary School. The run includes a three-kilometer (3K), 5K, and 10K route within the Camp John Hay-South Drive area.
Certificates will be given to finishers while the top three winners per category will receive prizes.
Applicants at the Recruitment Fair are advised to prepare multiple copies of their resume to be submitted to the booths of IHG, Convergys, Aegis, Sitel and NTU.
