TO MOST exercise enthusiasts, they see themselves bringing up the rear when missing their workout routines during the rainy days. They feel lethargic and sluggard if not able to flex a muscle. So don’t let those rainy days let you down! Tune your workout for the rainy days!

When Honore de Balzac says, “There is no such thing as a great talent without great will power,” he speaks of character that motivates the individual to exercise even if situations arise, where for exercise fanatics, it’s actually saying “I won’t stay at home without flexing a muscle”.

Indoor training during the rainy season offers the best solution; however, crowding in the gym often presents a catch, because it can impose constraints on your fitness routine, it can hamper your exercise program especially when you have to squeeze into a pint-sized workout room.

On the other hand, we can do alternative ways to exercise during the rainy days to escape the inconvenience of crowded gyms and other indoor workout places.

The question is, how does this quirky workout work? Indoor ascents are one example that individuals can do to workout. By considering safety first, one can use the stairwell to do exercise, by walking up stair cases of your choice, simply check on the upper floors of a building stairwell where traffic is minimal and start your ascent by walking the stairs two at a time without holding the handrail, to haul your body upward, just swing your arms to power your ascent.

Like other exercise programs, device a way to keep track of the sets you’ve completed, time yourself, and keep your stair walking to a max, remember that running the steps gathers more momentum and ease the climb, walking it makes for a more difficult and less bone-jarring workout. In this way you’ll be strengthening your calves and quads that provide you with greater leg lift.

Exercise enthusiasts who become home buddies during rainy seasons, can also innovate their workout without leaving the home. Home exercises are doable and fun, take for example an aerobics dance exercise for cardiovascular routine you can follow on TV or tape with your family, which can even influence the whole family into exercising.

Step up exercise for example builds stamina and endurance by stepping up and down on the first step of a stair or by the use of a low bench, Chin up exercise by the use of a chinning bar and carrying your own body weight is a great way to develop the lats and shoulders, just as pushups and sit ups develop the chest and abdomen.

Doing your stretching in bed also helps develop aerobic power, and helps tone your muscles for other exercise innovations that you can do at home. These exercises also forces you to work on different paces that stimulates your exercise conditions, maintaining your concentration when exercising at home is important to put you on the right track.

This mental focus will come in handy during your exercise. Plus the innovated exercise you can do at home will help you build up your strength and confidence, both of which will help you when you are ready to get back in the gym.
