Reds storm billiards tilt in Apache sportfest-A A +A

THE Hunt for Red October started early as team Red finished strong in billiards competition that propelled the team of Apache Chief Rocky Ruñez, as well as past chiefs Rey Bautista and Rae David atop the standing in the second Apache sportsfest at the Baguio Country Club recreations center.
Red actually ruled the event by beating Black 1 in the finals, but its second team barged into fourth place as the team earned 125 points en route to the league leading 225 points and the lead.
Red got 75 points for placing second place in regular bowling then 25 for placing fourth in the Bakers side.
Green, meanwhile, got second spot with 200 points, half of which coming from its win in the regular bowling. Green got 50 points from Baker's bowling and 50 from billiards for placing third.
Black amazingly stood its ground after second place finishes in Baker's bowling and billiards for 150, then the 25 from the fourth place finish in regular bowling for 175 points.
Yellow, despite winning the Baker's bowling, is at the tail end with 150 points, 100 from bowling, then 50 points from finishing third in regular bowling.
A win earns a team 100, 75 is awarded to second, 50 for third place and 25 from a fourth place finish.
Games in darts resume today with Reds 1 and 2, as well as Yellow carrying a 3-1 card for the lead. Black 1 is at 2-2.
Table tennis is scheduled to be played after the darts competition. (Roderick Osis)
