ASK people the most effective way to shed those extra fats, and you’re likely to get many different answers. Yet the most effective answer is “EXERCISE” because people believe it is the most effective way to shed off the extra fat, weight, to flatten the abs, etc.
The quest for a healthier and picture perfect body isn’t easy. To be able to elicit a better and beneficial result from exercise, one must consider the four Ws and 1H of exercising plus a lot of determination to be able to achieve your goal.
On the other hand, exercise has its own myths, like exercising with an empty stomach is believed to shed more fat. Although there is no scientific evidence to prove this, there is a greater chance that you lose your energy a lot quicker making the quality of your exercise decrease.
It is then recommended that you eat something easily digestible in the morning like fruits, so that your muscles and body have enough energy for a workout. Some also believe that lower intensity exercise burns more fat. This is true during exercise but not after. Lower intensity exercise does burn a larger percentage of calories from fat than from carbohydrates.
Because carbohydrates is spared for high-intensity exercise, the higher the intensity of exercise the more calories are burned. High intensity exercise also increases the metabolic rate, so more calories from fat are burned after exercise.
Spot reducing is also one belief that you can exercise specific areas of the body such as the “abs or thighs” in order to shed those extra fats. Infomercials of products that claim to target specific areas of the body may sound to be good to be true, but the fact is that when the body burns fat, it takes a little bit from every part.
Moreover, women also ask questions if lifting weights makes them muscular and masculine or turn them into beefy bodybuilders. However, considering genetics, the grueling workouts and dietary supplements, women who want to lift weights have to train extremely hard and eat truckloads to put on all that muscular bulk.
Lifting weights for women should be concentrated on strength training as it is important in building their muscle and bone mass, which, in turn decreases the chances of osteoporosis. They also burn more fat as they build their muscles because it becomes highly and metabolically active which increases their daily caloric burn.
Exercise is the best way to get healthy, build muscles and bone mass. However, you have to keep in mind that being healthy and building muscles are not only in the weight room. The body builds up muscles in response to exercise, but it is important that it be accompanied by a proper diet and rest because without adequate diet and rest the body never has the chance to build on its muscles.
