Baguio tae kwon do jins storm Luzon tourney

BAGUIO tae kwon do jins coming from the Bravehearts Lions Team and Black Belts Club members stormed Nueva Vizcaya by grabbing 22 gold medals, 19 silver and 29 bronze medals at the close of the Luzon Tae Kwon do championships recently.
Sixteen gold medals were snared in the sparring event, while another six were snatched in the poomsae event in topping the event held at the Tomas Dacayno Community Sports Center, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.
Gold medalists in the sparring event include Ezra Dangla, Marcus Aquino, Adanson Borja, Joe Saguiling, Johnrey Chigway, Bremver Buligen, Idan Josh Pagaduan Raced Pagoli, Raced Pagoli, Lei Ramon, Rain Ramon, Codi Balilis, Janine Mat-an, Renzel Tereng, Michelle Jose, Jonathan Balilis, and Dafnie Dumo.
Clifton Salimbuat led the onslaught for the Baguio jins who brought home the silver together with Gregory Asiong, Nickson Matias, Russel Arugay, John Kim Pasion, Chreishna Gayudan, Kirsten Akiapat Justin Aoas, Joel Degay, Barney Donga, Vincent Cañete, Joshua Tolding, Shaira Gayudan, Vijaya Bibal, Fihanne Galande, Divine Borja, Chelsea Dumlao and Jessa Milo.
The bronze medalists were Kurt Joven, Rocky Carpio, Cairo Guilando, Michael Afidchao, Dave Tapa, Kafelton Bahingawan, Harvey Cancho, Kyrym Caranto, Dick Bumacas, Izech Edwin, Grandville Pagaduan, Denzel Aguilba and Frednny Tombali.
The poomsae gold medalists were Marcus Aquino, Kyle Suyam, Kafelton Bahingawan, Yu Sung Choi, Liberty Agcopra and Rosiel Basigan.
Winning the silver were Freddny Tombali, John Kim Pasion, Jelly Dona, Aubrey Lisayen, Faye Wakit, Aiza Wakit, Granville Pagaduan, Lea Cadnona, Tara Martin, Aiza Wakit, Rafiel Dave Selmo, and Fihanne Galande.
The bronze medalists include Prince Ulalan, Michael Afidchao, Gregory Asiong, Jonathan Balilis, Idan Josh Pagaduan, Granville Pagaduan and Genaro Tumayan.
After their tiring journey back to Baguio from their participation in the Luzon Championships, the Bravehearts Lions Team and Black Belts Club members went to Bethesda Children's Home Inc., an orphanage located at Tuding, Itogon, Benguet, for a fellowship with orphans.
The team donated canned goods, foods and clothing and bonded with the kids which made the outreach a very fulfilling and a humbling experience. (Roderick Osis)
