Tarcelo, Menchi top 2nd Radar Run-A A +A

MARSON Tarcelo breezily finished with ease in the male division, while Sandi Menchi fended off a strong rival to finish first in the female division of the 2nd Mile High Radar Run recently.
Tarcelo clocked 40 minutes and 37 seconds, while Menchi had 54 minutes and five seconds in tipping the route covering eight kilometers, which started at the Marcos Highway Junction and ended in Mt. Sto. Tomas Radar station.
Placing second behind Tarcelo is Philex’ Gremil Galut who checked in with a time of 41 minutes and seven seconds.
“Halos nag pacing lang ako kasi alam ko kaya kung abutan si kuya Marcelo at pag malapit na sa finish line dun ko sya uunahan pero nasa finish line nap ala kami,” said Galut.
Julius Bay-an came in third with a time of 41 minutes and 53 seconds with Ronel Ventura and Leo Javier completing the top five finishers in the event organized by Front Runner Magazine.
Forty-nine seconds behind Menchi is Annaliza Maran, who finished the uphill course with a time of 54 minutes and 56 seconds, while Fredalyn Ramos checked in at 56 minutes and 50 seconds of the race backed by RCBC, Baguio Country Mart, Total Motor Parts, Baguio Palace Hotel, Pines Supermarket, PSI Custom Sportswear and Gatorade.
“Congratulations to all finishers for making it all the way to the country’s highest finish line! Thank you for participating in the second staging of the Radar Run,” said Jonel Mendoza, Race director of the Mile High Radar Run.
Mendoza also thanked Jingle Melanie Marquez (Overall Event Coordinator), Gay Baniwas and Trace Pineda (Time Recorders), Geraldine Ku, Oliver Ku, Larry Estoesta and Marcelo Bautista for helping out in the race.
