Benguet tops Magalong shootfest

USING their familiarity of the course, Benguet Provincial Police Office bested their counterparts to win the overall crown in the team category of the 2nd Regional Director Magalong shootfest held at the Camp Dangwa firing range recently.
The Benguet PPO Public Safety Company Team A emerged champion followed by the Kalinga PPO in second place and Benguet PPO Administrative Team landing in third place.
SPO3 Taggart Bagsiyao of the La Trinidad municipal police station grabbed the championship trophy in the standard category while Senior Inspector Ronald Vizcara of the Tublay Municipal Police Station landed in second place with Inspector Ham Banag of the Benguet PPO-PPSC placing third.
In the Production category, SPO3 Charles Molina of the Regional Finance Services Office 15 emerged champion, PO3 Ben Canayan Jr. of the Kibungan municipal police station placed second while PO2 Denver Sagampod of the Benguet PPO headquarters landed third.
The classic category saw SPO2 John Balcanao of the Kalinga PPO winning the championship trophy, PO2 Freddie Chinean of the Itogon MPS landing second while PO2 Mark Anthony Laddaran of the Mankayan MPS placed third.
Senior Inspector Cherry Fajardo of RFSO 15 bagged the championship trophy in the Lady Production category, PO1 Joyce Carias of the Regional Public Safety Battalion was second while Chief Inspector Gema Braganza of the Kalinga PPO landed in third.
In the Special Weapons and Armed Tactics (SWAT) category, Abra PPO emerged as champion, SWAT Student Team A placed second while Apayao PPO placed third.
Wilbur Fernando was champion in the Standard category, Marcial Campos was in second place while Sherwin Gomez placed third.
Edgardo del Rosario emerged as champion in the production category followed by Sherwin Gomez in second and Ryan del Rosario in third, while the classic category saw Melvin Calde as champion, Bernanrdo Casusi was second and Jon Favis was third.
The Open category championship went to Ernesto Campos while Joan Castro bagged the Lady Production category championship trophy as Jeannet Campos went home with the Standard category championship trophy.
Robby Calabias bagged the Senior Production category, while Luis Galipen, Jr. won the Standard category.
Charlo Cambay bagged the Junior Production category trophy while Flint Mariano won the Junior Standard category trophy. Holanson Daguio also bagged the Junior Classic category.
Chief Inspector Josselito Castro bagged the Lawman Standard category, Rolando Benito placed second while SPO2 Dante Lubos was in third.
In the Lawman Production category, SPO1 Rogel Bilibli of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) emerged as champion, SPO3 Norman Coronia of the BCPO landed in second while SPO2 Charles Molina placed third. In the Lawman Classic category, SPO2 Taggart Bagsiyao was declared the champion while Franklin Ernesto landed in second place.
In the LGU category, Robert Bruce Colewan bagged the Standard category, Ingimar Cheng also won the Production Category.
In the range officers division, Ricky Lorenzana won the Standard category, Albert Mariano went home with the Production category and Angel Lumpias Jr. took home the Classic category. (Roderick Osis)
