PEOPLE sometimes wonder why after all the dieting and exercise, they still encounter problems in shedding their extra body fat. Through the years I’ve been lucky enough to gain access and come across important information from my readings that can help give an empowering feeling to those who want to get in shape or to maintain their ideal weight.
Most people encounter fat-loss problems which are beyond their control and these obstacles are hard to overcome. Aging is one such problem because when we get older the body becomes more prone to gaining body fats. These fats are those that hover around the midsection, abdomen, neck, hips and thighs.
The reason behind the accumulation of fat is because metabolism slows down with time. This experience is true as we get older and it doesn’t come off easily even how well your diet is going, or how much you spend your time exercising.
Over time the body will stop losing fat the same rate as it did when you first attempted to lose weight. This is because it has gotten used to everything that is taken in by it with a “diminishing return”, from dieting or exercise and makes you feel your metabolism has slowed due to age and other factors.
The body is extremely complex and has built-in mechanisms that work to keep us in-shape, and for more than twenty years, experts have searched for ways to reverse weight gain. The reason we gain and lose is complicated, that is why science have involved drugs, get-thin pills, obesity vaccines, fat-zapping lasers, electric shocking solutions to incision-less surgeries.
Science might be on its way, but other breakthroughs are at least a few years away, these expensive treatments however can’t be viewed as the ultimate solution; it may have its side effects, though the future is bright for the development of better, safer and effective cures.
The quest isn’t that easy, were still finding that many behaviors we don’t think of as healthy for a person because some people get hungrier sooner than others, some fill-up less quickly, some binge; others are emotional eaters, and as more behaviors like these cannot be controlled, we can’t get ourselves in a normal range as our body perceive it to be.
The body’s’ normal range is adjusted reacting to various circumstances. So don’t rock the boat, the body is designed to work against you, unless, of course you do exactly the right things to alter the playing field. And needless to say nobody’s perfect, so start making smart decisions.
