Candon run set to give P360,000 in cash prizes

CLOSE TO P360,000 in cash prizes will be up for grabs in the City of Candon Festival Triathlon 2013 slated March 16, starting and finishing at the Candon Beach Resort.
The triathlon will cover 1.5 kilometer (1.5K) swim in the open sea, 40K bike and 10K run that is set to give out cash prizes for the open male and female categories including the different age groups.
Registration is now ongoing until March 15 of the sports event as part of the annual Candon City Tobacco Festival which coincides with the commemoration of the city’s 115th Cry of Candon and 12th Cityhood anniversary.
Individuals wanting to join the contest will be asked to shell out P2,000 for the registration while the relay will have P3,000 as registration which includes race kit, sponsor's products, finishers medal, t-shirt, and a post race meal.
Payments may be made through Banco De Oro with account name Stern Real Estate and Dev't Corporation with bank account number 5500074513 and email or fax entry form and deposit slip (clear and/or enlarged copy) with name to Fax #: 077-742-6136 (City Mayor’s Office).
Champions in the male and female open categories get to bring home P30,000 in cash prize each while first runners-up receive P25,000 with the second runners-up pocketing P20,000.
The third and fourth runner-up will be given P15,000 and P10,000 in cash prize each where they will also receive medals each while the age group winners will get P7,000, P5,000 and P3,000 each for the top three finishers.
Winners in the relay competition will receive P15,000, P10,000, P7,000, P5,000 and P3,000 for the top five finishers.
