BCNHS to hold chess tournament

TOP UNRATED wood pushers from around the Cordillera region gear up for the more than P14,000 in cash prizes for the 2013 Regional Open Chess Tournament at the Baguio City National High School.
Slated March 23-24, the kiddies and the open division will pit some of the region upcoming chess players which aim to help improve socialization, and helps develop and enhance the playing skills of all participants.
Registration for the open division will be at P200 while the kiddie division fee is at P150 of the tournament which is also one of BCNHS Summer Vacation activity.
Champion in the open division gets P5,000 while the second placer gets P3,000 with the third placer bringing home P1,000.
A P500 consolation prize will also be given to the fourth and fifth placer brings home P500 each.
The top kiddie chess player brings home P2, 000 in cash prizes while the second placer will receive P1,500 and the third placer will have P1,000.
