Arnaiz wins 2013 Club 7882 golf for a cause

MIKE Arnaiz shot 46 molave points to pull off an impressive victory in the 2013 edition of SLU Boys High Club 7882 Golf for a cause at the Baguio Country Club during the weekend.
Arnaiz made up for his sorry game at the front nine before scoring five pars in the last five holes to win the overall crown of the two day tournament supported by Nickel Asia Corporation-Cordillera Exploration Company Inc., Philex Mining Corporation, Exponent Controls & Electrical Corporation and Benguet Corporation.
Ed Dirige, meanwhile, scored a birdie at holes no. 6, 13, and 18 to carve out a similar 46 molave points to win class A edging Ely Lagman, who had an identical 42 points, with Kelvin Munar settling for second and third, respectively.
Patrick Villanueva, meanwhile, had five pars to settle for 39 and won the class B contest as Bernard Capuyan won second place with 38 points, who was tied with Christian Villareal, with the latter having the lower handicap.
Rene Garcia limped home with 34 to win class C honors while Mark Mendoza and Rafael Garcia settling for second and third, respectively, in the event also supported by Dizon Optical & Vision Therapy Clinic, Conex, EGL Construction, Rotary Club of Quezon City, Louie Llanes, Splendid View Realty and Residences, Beggang Resto Grill, Noli Tandoc, Jun Lacanilao and Edgar Ogay.
Liza Rondez shot 31 points with three pars to take home the ladies crown with Mavic Tan and Melanie Julian settling for second and third with a 23 and 22 molave points.
Edwin Ganaga took home the longest drive award while John De Luna had the most accurate drive as Kelvin Munar went home with the nearest to the pin award as Mark Palo was the most exercised player.
Also supporting the golf for a cause were Axceltechs Inc., Domestic Trading Corp., Metrobank Baguio (Magsaysay Branch), RAJ Construction, Jo’s Tire Supply, Apache Baguio Boys, Leo Ramirez, Davies Paints, Audio Enhance, Royalco Phil., and Collegio De La Union.
